From checkout line to settled in three steps

No spreadsheet, no mental math, no awkward “so… about that grocery run” text.

  1. Step 1 of 3

    Snap the receipt

Take a photo or upload one. BillSnap pulls out each item and price, and you check the draft before anything is saved.

    Corner Market · 5 items · 38.24

  2. Step 2 of 3

    Tap who had what

Assign items to people and shared items split evenly. Or split the whole bill equally, or by exact amounts.

Sourdough loaf → Alex, Sam, Riley

  3. Step 3 of 3

    Settle up

Everyone in the group sees the same balance. When someone pays you back, record it and the balance updates.

Sam paid Alex 20.15 · settled

Rent splits itself on the 1st

Set up rent, internet and subscriptions once. BillSnap adds them on the due date and splits them the way you chose, without ever posting the same bill twice.

Bills that change every month, like electricity, wait for you to enter the amount before they post.

Questions before you start

Do I need to download an app?

No. BillSnap runs in your phone’s browser. You can add it to your home screen so it opens like any other app.

Do my roommates need accounts?

They join from the invite link you send. A guest can join with just a name, then add an email and password later without losing the group. Scanning receipts and creating a group need a full account.

Who can see our expenses and receipts?

Members of a group can see that group’s expenses and receipt photos. A share link, if you create one, shows only the merchant or group name, the total, the currency, display names, and who owes whom. It does not include receipt photos or item lines.

What if a receipt scan gets something wrong?

Every scan opens as a draft you can edit. Nothing is added to anyone’s balance until you confirm it.

Is it only for households?

No. Make a group for anything shared: the apartment, a weekend trip, a couple’s joint costs. Each group keeps its own balance.
