Terms of Service

BillSnap helps groups record shared expenses, split them, and see who owes whom. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required where you live, to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity on your account.

BillSnap is a record-keeping tool. It calculates balances but does not hold, send, or receive funds. Settling up happens outside the app, for example in cash or through a payment app you choose. Marking a balance as settled only updates the record in BillSnap.

You keep ownership of the expenses, receipt photos, and notes you add. You give us permission to store and process that content only to run the service for you and the members of your groups.

Anything you add to a group is visible to its other members. Only invite people you trust, and only add information you have the right to share.

Receipt scanning uses automated text recognition and can misread items, prices, tax, or totals. Always review a scanned receipt before saving it. Balances are calculated from the amounts you and your group enter, so we cannot guarantee they are accurate if the underlying entries are wrong.

• Do not use BillSnap for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive.
• Do not try to access other people's groups or data without an invitation.
• Do not disrupt the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or scrape it.

You can stop using BillSnap at any time. To delete your account, email support@billsnap.com. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data afterward.

BillSnap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for disputes between group members about what is owed.

We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change is significant, we will let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use BillSnap after that means you accept the updated terms.
